1) Purpose
This policy was established to ensure full compliance of İspak Ambalaj's sustainable product development and commercialization activities with ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) requirements, guarantee transparency and accuracy in product claims, strengthen the traceability of our supply chain, and provide reliable information to our stakeholders.
2) Scope
- Raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products certified/to be certified under ISCC PLUS.
- All processes within the chain: purchasing, acceptance, storage, production, packaging, shipping, sales, and after-sales communication.
3) Our Commitment
- Legal Compliance and Ethics: All activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, ISCC rules, and ethical standards.
- Human and Labor Rights: Compliance with ILO principles, a safe and inclusive workplace, and zero tolerance for child and forced labor.
- Environmental Protection: Respect for biodiversity and sensitive areas; best practices in waste, water, and energy management.
- Traceability and data integrity: End-to-end recording, verifiability, and auditability from source to customer.
- Accurate and substantiated claim: All environmental/sustainability claims related to the product are substantiated and declared clearly and non-misleadingly.
- A life cycle approach (LCA) and climate impact assessment are integrated into design decisions.
- Recyclability, material efficiency, and circular design principles (monomaterial, cohesive layers, etc.) are prioritized.
- ISCC PLUS-certified products are defined based on customer requirements, and material codes are expanded accordingly.
- ISCC PLUS-certified suppliers or suppliers with acceptable equivalent proof/declaration are preferred.
- Supplier risk assessments, declarations of conformity, certificate validity checks, and periodic reviews are implemented.
- Input and output quantities, losses, stock movements, and conversion rates are monitored; records are maintained in accordance with an audit trail.
- Necessary information is provided for each sale/delivery within the relevant Sustainability Declaration.
- Where applicable, GHG metrics and data sources are defined for products, and methodology and assumptions are documented.
- ISCC PLUS requirements are reviewed regularly through internal audits.
- A transparent grievance mechanism is in place for customer complaints and stakeholder feedback.
- The policy is reviewed at least annually or with ISCC PLUS/Legislation updates.
- Performance indicators are updated based on audit findings and stakeholder feedback.
